Psicología clínica de enlace e interconsulta en el Hospital General

Resumen

Los nuevos avances tecnológicos en la asistencia clínica a la vez que reducen los riesgos, tienden a aumentar la distancia emocional en la relación con el paciente sustituyendo la palabra y la comunicación por la asistencia técnica especializada. Factores como: a) la necesidad de un diagnóstico diferencial dentro del proceso psicosomático del enfermar b) el incremento de la mediatización tecnológica, c) la contención de la ansiedad durante la hospitalización y procesos quirúrgicos, a) el desgaste y reacciones desadaptadas dentro del equipo asistencial por su continuo contacto con la enfermedad. Hacen pensar que es cada vez más necesaria la incorporación al equipo interdisciplinar de la función del experto en Psicología de Enlace como especialista en el análisis de la comunicación humana, para la comprensión

Abstract

While the latest technological improvements in clinical assistance reduce the risks, they tend to increase the emotional gap in the relation with the, patient, replacing words and communication with specialized technical assistance. Factors as: a) The need for a differential diagnosis in an illness that entails psychosomatic process; b) the technological mediatization increase; c) anxiety softening during hospitalization and surgical operations; d) the assistance team's erosion and unadapted reactions due to a continuous dealing with disease... make us think of the urgent need for the incorporation of the liaison psychologist into the interdisciplinary team, as a specialist in human communication analysis, to understand the meaning of anxiety and the patient emotional behavior, and their impact upon the team. This research also presents the teamwork results of the Clinical Psychology Section with Child Oncology, Pediatric Surgery and General Pediatric services through the study of the latest one hundred case histories of patients aged from zero to fifteen, as a representative sample of the Liaison Psychology role in the General Hospital interdisciplinary team
