[Attitudes to road safety]

Resumen
El estudio de las actitudes es un tema fundamental en el ámbito de la seguridad vial, que no debe olvidarse si se pretende entender qué puede llevar a los conductores a asumir posturas o conductas de riesgo. Conocer las creencias, valoraciones y posturas frente a distintos aspectos de la conducción, permite saber sobre qué aspectos es preciso incidir para intentar producir el cambio deseado hacia conductas más responsables y seguras.
Abstract
The study of attitudes is a fundamental issue in the road safety field, if we want to understand what makes drivers to assume high-risk behaviours. To know and understand what kind of opinions and beliefs are behind certain drivers´ positions or risky behaviours may allow us the opportunity to learn what respects have to be clarified or influenced when changing to more responsible and safe behaviours is needed.
