Validez convergente y discriminante de la Entrevista Diagnostica Estructurada para Niños y Adolescentes (DICA-R)

Resumen

El artículo examina la validez convergente de la Entrevista Diagnóstica Estructurada para Niños y Adolescentes (DICA-R), utilizando como criterio la CBCL de TM. Achenbach. Asimismo se describe la capacidad del instrumento para detectar sujetos con psicopatología en la población general. El estudio se llevó a cabo con un total de 196 entrevistas realizadas con pacientes psiquiátricos externos y 130 entrevistas realizadas con sujetos reclutados en escuelas y Servicios de Pediatría. Los resultados obtenidos con la DICA-R convergen con los que se obtienen o partir de otros instrumentos ampliamente utilizados y considerados como válidos, La entrevista es asimismo válido para el estudio epidemiológico ya que diferencia adecuadamente entre grupos controles y psiquiátricos

Abstract

The paper examines the convergent validity of the Diagnostic Interview for Children and Adolescents - Revised (DICA-R), using the Child Behavior Checklist of T M. Achenbach as criterion, The ability of the instrument to detect subjects with psychopathology in general population is studied as well. The study was held over 7 96 interviews with psychiatric patients and 730 interviews carried with subjects from schools and Pediatric Services. The results obtained with the DICA-R are comparable with those obtained from another instrument widely accepted and considered as valid. The interview is a valid instrument to be used in epidemiologic research as it can distinguish correctly between controls and cases
